How To Apply (In English and हिंदी)  NVS Class 9 Admission 2026-27 Lateral Entry

• The candidate can fill the online application form directly on NVS website

  www.navodaya.gov.in. Last date to apply for class IX Lateral Entry Selection

  is 21 October 2025the 

• Candidates/ parents are advised to go through the notification cum

  prospectus before applying and ensure the fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

  Please note that selection test is against the vacant seats only, subject to

  availability of accommodation in the JNV concerned.

• The following documents in soft form (JPG format of size between 10 to 100

  kb) may be kept ready for registration:

  Photograph

  Signature of parent

  Signature of candidate

• Basic details of the candidate like State, District (residence and study),

  Aadhaar number, study details of class VIII, APAAR ID/PEN, address etc. are

  to be filled in the application portal.

• The eligible candidates have to fill up the online form and upload the

  photograph along with the signatures of both the candidate and his/her parent.

• The online platform is in open source and free of cost. Application may be

  Submitted from any source like desktop, laptop, mobile, tablet etc.

• In all JNVs, a help desk is available to assist the candidates/parents to

  upload the application of the a candidates free of cost. Parents may approach the

  help desk in JNV along with candidate and required documents such as

  photograph, along with the signature of both candidate and his/her parent.

• All efforts are to be made to provide correct information in the portal which

  may be substantiated at the time of admission after selection with

  supporting documents.

• Admission of provisionally selected students is subject to passing Class-VIII

  during the Session 2025-26 and submission of necessary supporting

  documents as per the information provided by the candidate/ parent in

  the online application form.

• ❖ उम्मीदवार नवोदय की वेबसाइट www.navodaya.gov.in पर सीधे ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकते हैं। कक्षा 9 पार्श्व प्रवेश चयन के आवेदन हेतु अंतिम तिथि 21 अक्टूबर 2025 है।

• ❖ उम्मीदवारों/अभिभावकों को सलाह दी जाती है कि आवेदन करने से पूर्व अधिसूचना सह विवरणिका का ध्यान पूर्वक पढ़ें और पात्रता मानदंडों की पूर्ति सुनिश्चित करें। कृपया ध्यान दें कि चयन परीक्षा केवल रिक्त स्थानों के सापेक्ष है, जो संबंधित जनपद में आवास की उपलब्धता के अधीन है।

• ❖ निम्नलिखित दस्तावेज सॉफ्ट फॉर्म में (10 से 100 केबी के बीच जेपीजी प्रारूप में) पंजीकरण के लिए तैयार रखा जा सकता है।

• ❖ उम्मीदवार के मूल विवरण जैसे राज्य, जिला (निवास और अध्ययन), आधार संख्या, कक्षा 8 का अध्ययन विवरण, अपार आईडी (APAAR ID)/पेन (PEN) पता आदि, आवेदन पोर्टल में भरा जाना है।
• ❖ योग्य उम्मीदवारों को ऑनलाइन फॉर्म भरना होगा और उम्मीदवार एवं उसके माता-पिता दोनों के हस्ताक्षर के साथ फोटो अपलोड करनी होगी।
• ❖ ऑनलाइन मंच खुला स्रोत और निःशुल्क है। आवेदन डेस्कटॉप, लैपटॉप, मोबाइल, टैबलेट आदि किसी भी स्रोत से जमा किया जा सकता है।
• ❖ सभी जनपदों में उम्मीदवारों/माता-पिता को उम्मीदवारों का आवेदन निःशुल्क अपलोड करने की सहायता हेतु एक हेल्पडेस्क उपलब्ध है। उम्मीदवार और उसके माता-पिता दोनों के हस्ताक्षर के साथ फोटो जैसे आवश्यक दस्तावेजों को लेकर उम्मीदवार के साथ माता-पिता जनपद में सहायता डेस्क से संपर्क कर सकते हैं।
• ❖ पोर्टल में सही जानकारी प्रदान करने के सभी प्रयास किये जाने हैं जिन्हें सहायक दस्तावेजों से साथ प्रवेश के समय सत्यापित प्रमाणित किया जा सके।

• ❖ अंतिम रूप से चयनित विद्यार्थियों का प्रवेश सत्र 2025–26 के दौरान कक्षा–8 उत्तीर्ण करने और ऑनलाइन आवेदन पत्र में उम्मीदवार/माता–पिता द्वारा प्रदान की गई जानकारी के अनुसार आवश्यक सहायक दस्तावेज जमा करने के अधीन है।
