Management Trainee(Technical) Eligibility DetailsApplicants must hold a full-time Engineering degree with a minimum 65% overall marks, based on the combined average of all semesters. The degree should be in any one of the following branches: Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Metallurgy. The calculation is done on the total average, so individual semester weightage does not affect the final percentage. Exam Pattern and Full Selection Process in Details for Management Trainee
The exam will be held across multiple cities such as Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Patna, Ranchi and several other listed locations.
• The exact exam centre assigned to the candidate will be mentioned clearly in the Admit Card.
• Once the application form is finally submitted, no request for changing the exam centre will be considered.
• However, SAIL may add or cancel any centre depending on the number of applicants and availability.
• The online test will carry a total of 200 marks and will be divided into two separate sections.
• Part-1: Domain Knowledge Test – 100 marks – 40 minutes duration.
• Part-2: Aptitude Test – 100 marks – 80 minutes duration.
• The Aptitude Test will include four segments: Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, Reasoning, and General Awareness, each carrying 25 marks.
• To qualify for Group Discussion and Interview, candidates must pass both sections individually.
• General/EWS candidates must secure at least the 50th percentile in each test.
• SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates must obtain a minimum of the 40th percentile in their respective categories.
• Percentile scores will be calculated only among candidates who applied for the same post.
