The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the detailed exam pattern for the District Statistical Officer (DSO) / Assistant Director (Planning & Development) Mains Examination 2025.
This breakdown will help you clearly understand the structure, marking scheme, and papers included in the mains exam.

The mains examination is descriptive (written) in nature. It includes a total of 4 papers, out of which 3 are compulsory and 1 is an optional subject selected by the candidate.

The final merit list is prepared based on Mains + Interview marks.
